Strategic Overview: MBK's Vision for a Climate-Positive Future
At MBK International, we are pioneering a future of high-integrity, science-backed carbon removal through biochar. Our process converts FSC-certified wood biomass into high-carbon, stable biochar using advanced pyrolysis, which locks away carbon for over 1,000 years and enriches agricultural land.
By utilizing layered third-party verification, MRV infrastructure, and blockchain traceability, we provide a comprehensive solution that meets or exceeds the certification standards set by Verra, Puro.Earth, CAR, and Gold Standard.
Our solution is:
- Technologically robust
- Agriculturally beneficial
- Climate critical
Climate Resilience
MBK Biochar is designed for permanence and effectiveness. By applying it to soils, we sequester carbon, enhance fertility, increase water retention, and decrease wildfire risk.
This is climate action with co-benefits, measurable, auditable, and regenerative.
ESG & SDG Alignment
MBK biochar aligns directly with international sustainability targets:
- SDG 2 – Zero Hunger (improved soil productivity)
- SDG 6 – Clean Water (reduced runoff, improved infiltration)
- SDG 13 – Climate Action (carbon permanence >1,000 years)
- SDG 15 – Life on Land (enhanced soil biodiversity)
It is MRV-ready and compatible with enterprise ESG platforms (SAP, Salesforce, Workiva).
Real Carbon Removal
- 85 %+ fixed carbon content (meets top-tier registry thresholds)
- Full batch traceability (timestamped, GPS-tagged, IBM Hyperledger verified)
- Eligibility for resale and FPA markets (Patch, CIX, CarbonFuture, etc.)
We are helping organizations lock in carbon today, with complete forward-purchase options for 2026/2027 delivery.
Who We Serve
- Vineyards, Olive Orchards & Tree Nut Farms — Soil performance enhancement + regenerative certification pathways
- Corporate ESG Buyers & Net-Zero Pledgers — Scope 3 removal offsets with MRV + co-benefit packaging
- Carbon Marketplaces & Brokers — Registry-compliant assets ready for resale
- Aviation, Maritime, and Logistics Buyers — Durable carbon removal for SAF and net-zero mandates
What Is Biochar?
Biochar is a powerful tool in the fight against climate change, and it begins with nature.
What Is It?
Biochar is a stable, carbon-rich material produced when organic biomass, like wood chips or agricultural waste, is heated in a low-oxygen environment. This process, called pyrolysis, locks away carbon that would otherwise return to the atmosphere as CO₂.
How Is It Made?
- Feedstock Selection: We use FSC-certified wood waste and biomass.
- Pyrolysis: The material is superheated without oxygen, turning it into solid carbon (biochar).
- Cooling & Stabilization: The resulting biochar is cooled and prepared for use in agriculture.
- Carbon Sequestration: Once applied to soil, it can remain stable for over 1,000 years, safely storing carbon.
Why It Matters
- Carbon Removal: Every ton of MBK biochar removes 2.5–3 tons of CO₂e from the carbon cycle.
- Soil Health: Improves structure, fertility, and water retention.
- Food Security: Enhances crop yields in degraded or arid soils.
- Water Efficiency: Helps reduce irrigation needs.
- Wildfire Resilience: Reduces flammable ground biomass.
How Is MBK Biochar Different?
- Registry-aligned (Verra, Puro.Earth, CAR, Gold Standard)
- Permanence-verified (≥85% fixed carbon)
- Blockchain-traceable (Hyperledger technology)
- Agronomically optimized (region-specific soil integration)
